Beth called. The Sack Man has postponed the review session until monday. Guess that gives me more time to actually do the stats work.

My replacement Threadless tshirt came yesterday. It's really fun.

So hot and humid out I am going to break down and turn on the A/C. Weather.com says it's supposed to cool off a bit tomorrow and the next day. I sure hope so.

Friends were a bit awkward yesterday-everybody seems really tense. Know I am.

The stupid parents claimed me on their taxes again, so I owe the government money. No probs there, mom says she'll pay it cuz claiming me saves them so much money. Down side is that she had to priority mail the stuff to me to sign cuz taxes are due April 15 and despite my repeated hassling of Dad in february he never told mom that I needed them to send me my W2s. Whatever. Badness because I'll hafta deal with it next week in the heart of comps.

Oh-been talking so much about comps. perhaps I should define

Comps: comprehensive exams. The 8 hours of written exams and 1-2 hours of oral examination required for us to earn our M.A. Also known as the source of all stress and misery in the universe. The two days next week when I sit for four hours each day and take 4 exams back to back. Be afraid, be very afraid.
